The Graduate Program in Chemical Engineering at UFMG has the general objective to qualify creative professionals with critical sense, with a solid background in fundamentals of Chemical Engineering, who will meet the demand for professionals in Education Institutions, Research Centers and industries, both in Brazil and abroad.
The specific objectives are:
- Produce scientific and technological knowledge in Chemical Engineering and related areas.
- Meet the demands of society and companies in solving problems in the area of Chemical Engineering.
- Assist universities and research centers in the development of undergraduate courses and researches in the area of Chemical Engineering.
- Promote the exchange of knowledge, allowing students to complement their training in other institutions (national and international), and receiving students from other countries.
- Increase the visibility of research and technological development based on the participation of students and professors in national and international events and publications in scientific papers with a high impact factor.
- Encourage the participation of undergraduate students from UFMG and other educational institutions in research and technological innovation projects.
