The PPGEQ PhD’s course has the duration of 4 years (48 months).
To obtain a PhD’s degree, the student must satisfy at least the following requirements:
I – complete, in academic activities of the Program, under the terms of the Program’s Regulation, the minimum number of 27 (twenty seven) credits;
II – be approved in the defense of the qualifying exam, until 24 months after the student’s registration in the course;
III – be approved in the defense of the thesis;
IV – submit, to the Program’s Office, a copy o2 (two) articles published or accepted in a journal with Qualis Capes 2017-2020 A1, A2, A3 or A4 in the area of Engineering II, as first author and with your supervisor as co-author. The publication dates of the articles must be after the student’s entry into the PPGEQ and the themes of the articles must be related to the thesis to be defended OR 2 (two) articles, with 1 (one) published or accepted article and 1 ( a) proof of article submission, both in journal(s) with Qualis Capes 2017-2020 A1, A2, A3 or A4 in the area of Engineering II, as first author and with your supervisor as co-author ). The publication and submission dates of the articles must be after the student’s entry into the PPGEQ and the themes of the articles must be related to the thesis to be defended OR 1 (one) article published or accepted in a journal with Qualis Capes 2017- 2020 A1, A2, A3 or A4 in the area of Engineering II, as first author and with your advisor as co-author, and copy of the patent filling, with your advisor as co-author. The dates of publication of the article and the patent filling must be after the student’s entry into the PPGEQ and the themes of the article and patent must be related to the thesis to be defended.
