Opportunity for Masters fellowships linked to research project
Project title: Development of a PET-based repair for anti-corrosive paints applied to carbon steel
Responsible researcher: Dr. Fernando Cotting
Scope and description of activities to be developed: The project will aim to develop a repair system for industrial painting schemes. Fellows will develop a PET-based adhesive and apply it in an epoxy resin-based paint scheme. Physical, chemical and electrochemical tests will be performed to assess the performance of the repair system.
Duration of fellowship: 12 months, with the possibility of extension for another 12 months
Monthly fellowship amount: R$ 2,140.00 (linked to the research project indicated above)
Location: Corrosion Laboratory/Chemical Engineering Department – School of Engineering/UFMG
Requirements: The project will involve laboratory activities, therefore the candidate(s) must have an interest and willingness to carry out experimental work. Fellows must enroll in the Master’s course of the Graduate Program in Chemical Engineering (PPGEQ/UFMG).
