The PPGEQ's mission is to generate and disseminate scientific knowledge through the training of critical, ethical and creative professionals with solid training in fundamentals of Chemical Engineering and related areas. PPGEQ has been meeting the demand for highly trained and committed to transformative interventions in society, on education institutions, on research centers and industries, thus contributing to socially and economically sustainable development.

The PPGEQ's vision is to promote the meeting of professionals who share the interest in the search for a better future and be recognized as a Program of excellence for the relevance of the intellectual and technological production of their community.

The PPGEQ's values ​​are aligned with the UFMG's values ​​of the UFMG:

• Defense of a solid, diversified Higher Education system, with increasing quality standards, meeting the requirements of infrastructure and human resources suitable for this purpose;
