History

UFMG’s Graduate Program in Chemical Engineering (PPGEQ) was created twenty-eight years ago. The Master’s program in Chemical Engineering was created in 1992 and the Doctoral program in Chemical Engineering in 2006. Throughout its history, the PPGEQ has trained hundreds of masters and dozens of doctors.

The mission of PPGEQ is to train critical and creative professionals with a solid background in the fundamentals of Chemical Engineering. Therefore, PPGEQ supplies the demand for trained and high-level personnel in Education Institutions, Research Centers and industries, aiming at a growing regional, national and international insertion and contributing to the production of relevant scientific knowledge.
