The PPGEQ PhD\u2019s course has the duration of 4 years (48 months).<\/p>\n
To obtain a PhD\u2019s degree, the student must satisfy at least the following requirements:
I \u2013 complete, in academic activities of the Program, under the terms of the Program\u2019s Regulation, the minimum number of 27 (twenty seven) credits;
II \u2013 be approved in the defense of the qualifying exam, until 24 months after the student\u2019s registration in the course;
III \u2013 be approved in the defense of the thesis;
IV \u2013 submit, to the Program\u2019s Office, a copy o2 (two) articles published or accepted in a journal with Qualis Capes 2017-2020 A1, A2, A3 or A4 in the area of \u200b\u200bEngineering II, as first author and with your supervisor as co-author. The publication dates of the articles must be after the student’s entry into the PPGEQ and the themes of the articles must be related to the thesis to be defended OR 2 (two) articles, with 1 (one) published or accepted article and 1 ( a) proof of article submission, both in journal(s) with Qualis Capes 2017-2020 A1, A2, A3 or A4 in the area of \u200b\u200bEngineering II, as first author and with your supervisor as co-author ). The publication and submission dates of the articles must be after the student’s entry into the PPGEQ and the themes of the articles must be related to the thesis to be defended OR 1 (one) article published or accepted in a journal with Qualis Capes 2017- 2020 A1, A2, A3 or A4 in the area of \u200b\u200bEngineering II, as first author and with your advisor as co-author, and copy of the patent filling, with your advisor as co-author.
